On May 26, people in many countries, including Vietnam, observed a total lunar eclipse, a rare natural phenomenon. In June, the world will have the opportunity to observe another interesting phenomenon - an annular solar eclipse.

The annular solar eclipse will take place on June 10 (Vietnam time). This happens when the Moon is too far away from the Earth. When the Sun, the Moon and Earth align, the Moon becomes too small to completely cover the Sun. When the annular eclipse occurs, a ring of light appears around the dark Moon. The solar corona will not be visible.

Vietnamese people will not have the opportunity to witness the annular solar eclipse. The areas where people can see this phenomenon well are in the far east of Russia, the Arctic Ocean region, west of Greenland (Denmark) and Canada. A partial eclipse will also be observed from northeastern America, Europe, and a large part of Russia.

Super moon will appear on June 25.

There is another special astronomical phenomenon that will appear in June. The full moon and super moon will take place on June 25. At this time, the Moon will be at its closest position to the Earth. The Moon will be larger and brighter than usual.

Native American tribes often refer to this as the "Strawberry Moon" because this signals the time to harvest ripe fruit.

In other places, this phenomenon is known as the "Rose Moon" and "Honey Moon". This is the third and final super moon that people will be able to observe in 2021.

People nationwide enjoyed the stunning and rare super blood moon eclipse which occurred at 6:30 p.m. on May 26, 20 years after the previous one. The lunar eclipse lasted for 15 minutes.
