Normally, the iPhone is officially sold in Vietnam after it launches in other markets. However, to attract buyers, some Vietnamese retailers have allowed their customers to order the product immediately after the new model is launched in the US. As the official prices are not set, customers will enjoy better incentives than those who place orders later.
However, big retailers like The Gioi Di Dong and FPT Shop say that they still don't know what products Apple will release on September 14.
According to Xa Que Nguyen, iPhone 13 will be officially sold in Vietnam in the second half of October this year.
According to leaked information, the launching event will start at 0:00 on September 15 (Vietnam time). Apple will launch four new generation models of iPhone, including iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The iPhone 13 mini will have a 5.4-inch screen, while iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro will use a 6.1-inch screen and the most advanced version iPhone 13 Pro Max will have a 6.7-inch screen.
If Apple launches the iPhone 13 at this event, retailers in Vietnam will allow customers to place an order for the product right after the event.
Nguyen Lac Huy, representative of CellphoneS, confirmed the information, and said that the new iPhone will be sold in Vietnam in late October.
Due to the great success of the iPhone 12 model compared to the iPhone 11, the representative of CellphoneS said that it is difficult for the iPhone 13 to achieve record sales like its predecessor, especially amid the Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam.
Meanwhile, Di Dong Viet (Viet Mobile) has a more optimistic view. Nguyen Dat, manager of the chain, says the purchasing power of iPhone 13 in Vietnam will not be inferior to the previous generation, reflected in the number of people interested and inquiring about the product recently.
In addition, iPhone has its own customer groups who are not affected by economic difficulties. Moreover, the epidemic situation may be under control by the end of October, Dat said.
