Finder's survey was conducted in 20 countries and it showed that the top five economies with the most NFTs include the Philippines (32%), Thailand (26.6%), Malaysia (23.9%), the UAE (23.4%), and Vietnam (17.4%). It can be seen that four of five countries in the top are economies in Southeast Asia.

Meanwhile, the developed economies all had low NFT ownership rates with Japan at 2.2%, the US at 2.8% or Germany with 4%.

The survey found that the percentage of people intending to buy NFT in the future in Vietnam is higher than the average rate of economies around the world, with 11.6% compared to 9.4%.

NFT is considered an asset type that attracts the attention of young people, especially those in Generation Z. In Vietnam, it is also true for some adults. When compared to other economies in the world, the percentage of adults who knew about NFT in Vietnam last year was high (at 37.7%). Meanwhile, this rate was only at 10% for Japan, 17.4% for Germany and 21.2% for the UK.

The attractiveness of NFT is also reflected in the positive correlation between "owning NFT" and "knowing what NFT is". Explaining this attraction of NFT, Coindesk believes that everyone has a hobby of collecting things. In addition, it is a type of digital asset that can yield profit based on the scarcity nature of this type of asset.

According to a survey by Statista in 2021, in some economies in Southeast Asia except for Singapore, the percentage of people who thought the NFT value would be high is higher than the percentage of the people who thought the value of the NFT would not increase or decrease.

In terms of gender, except for Thailand and Venezuela, in most of the remaining economies, the proportion of men owning NFTs is higher than that of women. This disparity in Vietnam is much larger than in the rest of the world's economies, at 10.3%, and second only to the UAE.

NFT is a type of digital asset present on blockchain that is a record of transactions on connected computers. The blockchain acts as a shared ledger, allowing anyone to verify the authenticity of the NFT and the owner.

Unlike other infinitely reproducible digital objects, each NFT has a unique digital signature that marks its uniqueness. They are usually purchased with virtual currency or USD, and the blockchain records the transaction.
