Earlier on October 23, the UKpolice found 30 dead people in a container truck in Essex in northeast London.
Upon hearing the news,several families in Ha Tinh reported to local authorities that they had lostcontact with their relatives who were on the way to the UK.
Authorities are collectingDNA samples from the families to send to the UK for verification.
According tothe provincial Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the provincehad more than 72,000 people working abroad under fixed-term contracts between2009 and 2019.
