One day before Kitchen Gods’ Day, which will fall on January 25 this year, red carp are the most important product at Hanoi’s largest fish market.
On the occasion, red carp from many provinces such as Nam Dinh, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Hung Yen are transported to Yen So market. From here, they are distributed to all markets in Hanoi and neighboring provinces.
This year dozens of tons of red carps are sold wholesale at this market.
The price for red carp this year is higher than last year, averaging from VND220,000 to VND250,000/kilo, depending on the size.
On this occasion, each family buys three red carp for the Kitchen Gods’ Day.
