This route has a total length of 26km, starting from An Lac intersection running to Rach Chiec station of metro line 1.

This route runs through districts 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, Binh Tan and Binh Chanh District.

It also connects to Ham Nghi and Cho Lon stations to increase connectivity with the existing bus system.

Technical characteristics and service quality of this route are similar to the model of BRT light systems, satisfying requirements of smart traffic.

In the first phase of operation, 42 specialized buses will be used on this route. Each bus can carry up to 72 passengers.

The Hanoi bus rapid transit (BRT) 01 route, which had investment of thousands of billion dong sourced from the World Bank (WB) loans, has failed to meet expectations after five years of operation.
