Hundreds of support workers have been sent out to work with local people in Bao Loc City to deal with the consequences.

Pham Cong Huong, vice chairman of Dai Lao Commune, confirmed that 100 houses, hundreds of hectares of crops as well as cattle in villages 7, 8, 9, 10 and Dai Lao Commune were submerged and swept away. On June 19, the flood had receded, but the B'Lao Sire Bridge was damaged, affecting traffic.

According to the local people, a heavy downpour occurred at night and lasted until 3.30 am. Water upstream swept down and destroyed hundreds of hectares of crops and valuable belongings. Luckily no one was hurt.

Huong said this was the first time he had seen such severe flooding in the commune. The flash flood was too quick for the locals to react.
