at Noi Bai International Airport to strictly monitor all passengers coming from Wuhan, China, in order to detect any symptoms of the infectious disease.
According to the Hanoi Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, the centre has tightened supervision of passengers arriving from Wuhan, a city where dozens of people were discovered to be infected with severe cases of pneumonia in late December, 2019.
Nguyen Nhat Cam, Director of the Hanoi Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, said the capital has reacted to the outbreaks by installing five remote body temperature gauges for passengers who are entering or transiting in Noi Bai International Airport, with a particular focus on travelers arriving from Wuhan.
Passengers who are discovered to be infected by the fever will be investigated epidemiologically, while passengers traveling through the epidemic area will also be isolated and closely monitored.
The Hanoi Department of Health has been quick to set up a response team around the clock as a way of dealing with the unexpected incidents.
Simultaneously, the department has also been closely monitoring all cases of severe pneumonia at health facilities in order to detect any suspected cases of the disease in a timely fashion. VOV
