The new patients (No. 2402 – 2403) are all F1 cases related to the outbreak at Poyun Electronics Co., Ltd. In Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province. These people have been quarantined for a time.
They are currently treated at Field Hospital No. 1, based at the Medical Center of Chi Linh city.
By 6am this morning, Vietnam had a total of 2,403 cases of Covid-19, including 1,504 locally-transmitted cases.
Earlier, at 6pm February 23, the Ministry of Health confirmed six more COVID-19 cases, including five in Hai Duong and one in Quang Ninh province.
Since January 27, Vietnam has detected 811 domestically-transmitted cases in 13 provinces and cities: Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Ho Chi Minh City, Gia Lai, Hai Phong, Hoa. Binh, Binh Duong, Dien Bien, Ha Giang and Hung Yen.
This morning, the Ministry of Health also announced that 43 additional patients have been given the all-clear, while the death toll remains at 35.
Thus, medical facilities have now cured 1,760 Covid-19 patients. Those who have not recovered have 60 cases of three consecutive negative SARS-CoV-2, 39 cases were negative for the second time and 87 cases were negative for the first time. The number of Covid-19 patients who died was 35.
Among patients still under treatment, 69 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2, 39 negative twice and 55 thrice.
As many as 88,583 people who had close contact with COVID-19 patients or arrived from pandemic-hit areas are being quarantined across the country.
