Thư viện điện tử 11,5 triệu USD dùng chung cho các trường ĐH ở Việt Nam

The $11.5 million project "Building a shared electronic library for higher education institutions in Vietnam" has been approved by the Prime Minister. The project is funded by the World Bank and implemented by the National Economics University.

According to representatives of the National Economics University, the project is being urgently implemented. Surveys have been conducted at higher education institutions to learn about the current state of technological infrastructure. It is expected that the project will be completed in 2022.

The project aims to improve the quality of training and scientific research, promoting collaboration and sharing in research through the provision of a shared electronic database for higher education institutions in Vietnam.

It also targets connecting scientists in cooperation and sharing research results, and attracting students and lecturers to look up and use materials at the central library, thereby spreading the impact to the beneficiaries. The project is also part of the roadmap to promote digital transformation to improve the training quality of higher education in Vietnam.

When the project is completed, about 600,000 students and 27,000 lecturers from higher education institutions in Vietnam will have access to an abundant source of documents and data through access to a shared electronic library based at the National Economics University, Hanoi.
