The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hasasked the Vietnamese Embassy of in the UK to work closely with local police to verifynationalities of victims of a tragedy in which 39 people found dead in acontainer at Waterglade industrial park in Essex on October 23.
Theministry has also requested the Consular Department to work with relevantagencies at home and provide information for British authorities to assist themin defining nationalities of the victims.
Currently,the embassy has kept a close watch on the case and cooperated closely withrelevant British agencies to accelerate the investigation process, whilepreparing necessary citizen protection measures in case there are Vietnamesevictims.

Vietnamese families concerned after 39 dead bodies discovered in the UK
Seven Vietnamese families have contacted a charity in Vietnam via a friend, concerned their loved ones may have been on board a lorry discovered in the UK with dead bodies inside.
