Bộ trưởng Y tế kêu gọi nhà khoa học đề xuất giải pháp ứng phó dịch Covid-19
Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long.

In the letter, the Minister stated that the outbreak since late April 2021 has spread to many localities, especially in densely populated areas and large industrial zones.

"In this gunless war, we cannot stand idly by when our teammates who are doctors, nurses and medical staff are having to put aside all privacy, and accept personal sacrifices, to enter epidemic hotspots to carry out epidemic prevention and treatment work,” he wrote.

“We also can't hold back when the image of our 'white-blouse soldiers' in the harsh conditions of the weather, despite being exhausted but determined to stay to fight the epidemic, all for the health of the people, of the community," the Minister said.

He emphasized, more than ever, that cooperation of scientists is essential to have more effective products and solutions to serve epidemic prevention, protect health and ensure the safety for the frontline forces.

The Minister called on scientists at home and abroad to propose practical and feasible solutions at reasonable costs to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

The proposals will follow the motto "5K + Vaccines and technology applications".

“The glorious tradition from previous generations of doctors and scientists will be a source of strength to help us become stronger and more decisive to fight and soon win the pandemic. The Ministry of Health is always ready to accompany, share and support scientists as much as possible,” the Minister said.

The Ministry of Health has received many scientific proposals from organizations and individuals inside and outside the health sector, both domestically and internationally. Some proposals have been reviewed and approved by scientific councils and professional agencies to put into research, and then have been applied to practical activities of epidemic prevention and control.

Typically, since the very early isolation of the causative agent, the SARS-CoV-2 virus, by scientists, Vietnam has mastered the technology and took the initiative to produce and test biological products as well as many other products and solutions for diagnosis and treatment of Covid-19.
