Binh Lieu has not only border markers and poetic roads leading to hills on which vast reed grass fields are located, but also has golden paddy fields at the base of mountains, valleys and hillsides where rice is ready to be harvested.
At 8am, on the terraced rice paddy of residents in Na Ma Hamlet, Dong Tam Commune, residents enthusiastically harvest rice.
People in this area still harvest rice by hand instead of using machines like farmers in other regions. To improve efficiency, farmers take turns to harvest rice on one field at a time before turning to another.
On the rice paddy, women use sickles, while men carry sheaves. A song sung in San Chi’s language can be heard from across the area.
Because of Binh Lieu’s beauty in ripe rice season, a considerable number of visitors have travelled to this place to enjoy the scenery of a mountainous district in Quang Ninh.
