Lap An lagoon is surrounded by Bach Ma mountain and nearby Lang Co bay. It is situated close to National Highway 1A that runs through Lang Co town in Phu Loc district of Thua Thien-Hue province.
The surface of the clear blue water reflects the nearby mountains, the clouds, and the sky. Due to the spectacular photo opportunities available, the lagoon has become a popular destination for both photographers and adventurous explorers.
For many couples, the lagoon is an ideal place for couples to take wedding photos.
Local people in the area largely make a living from the oyster trade.
Farmers utilise old rubber tires from bicycles, motorbikes, and cars as a means of raising oysters.
Whilst containing a high nutritional value, oysters also have a variety of uses. Visitors can enjoy tasting fresh oysters, oyster congees, and grilled oysters.
For many animals and aquatic plants, Lap An lagoon is their natural habitat.
Local people dig in the sand during a low tide to search for sea cucumbers and peanut worms.
