The central province of Quang Nam on November 19 held a ceremony to welcome the first international visitors to the province under the "vaccine passport" program. Many tourists expressed their joy when they returned to Vietnam.
On November 17 and 18, Quang Nam welcomed 159 international tourists after nearly two years of suspending international commercial flights due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The visitors were from South Korea, the UK, France, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, USA, Denmark, Norway, Australia.
Mr. Petter (69, Sweden) said that he was very happy to be able to travel to Vietnam.
“I love Vietnam. I feel like I am returning home. I will stay for 19 days,” he said.
Mr. Bob Timmermans (36, the Netherlands), said he came to Vietnam two years ago and decided to return because Vietnam has many beautiful tourist attractions, and the people are friendly.
During this tour, foreign visitors will visit Hoi An ancient town, My Son holy land and other sites. They can register to visit Vinpearl Nam Hoi An Golf Resort and Hoiana Shores Golf Club.
As planned, on November 25, 200 international tourists will land at Da Nang airport to participate in the "vaccine passport" tourism program.
Quang Nam province is one of five localities (including Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Da Nang, Quang Ninh and Kien Giang) welcoming international visitors from November 2021.

A Vietnam Airlines flight departing from Korea landed at Da Nang Airport yesterday, bringing nearly 30 foreign tourists to local destinations under a pilot programme to welcome back foreign travelers after a hiatus caused by COVID-19.
