VietNamNet Bridge – “Frozen”, “47 Ronin”' or “Doraemon” are the most notable films on the big screen in the last month of the year.

1. Snowpiercer

The action, fiction film by South Korean director Bong Joon-ho will open the month at Vietnamese cinemas in December. Adapted from the comic book's “Le Transperceneige” by three French authors, Snowpiercer set in 2031. After failing in dealing with global warming, the Earth back to the Ice Age when the earth is covered by ice and the human world is at risk of being wiped out.

Those who survive are on the ship named Snowpiercer. This place is like a miniature society, which contains many contradictions and distinctions between the rich and the poor, the people who are working together to cope with death.

Snowpiercer has the participation of many Hollywood stars like Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Ed Harris, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer alongside Korean star Song Kang-ho.

2. The Four 2 - 3D

3. Le Week- End

At the year's end, the audience is enjoying a romantic drama of France, which takes place in Paris. It tells about an elderly British couple who return to Paris - where they experienced their honeymoon. In an effort to rejuvenate the marriage, they discover more interesting things about each other. Le Week-End has the participation of two senior British actors - Lindsay Duncan and Jim Broadbent.

4. Homefront

Release Date: 6/12

The fans of Jason Statham will have a chance to see him again in the new action movie. In “Homefront”, Jason plays the former anti-narcotics cop Phil Broker. He lives a quiet life with his daughter to find escape from the troubles in the past. But Broker’s world is again disturbed when he discovers a suspicious location related to drugs and violence in his living area. Not long after that, drug-trader gang leader Gator Bodine (James Franco) appears, threatening the peace of Broker and his daughter, forcing him to return to the fight to save his family and his small town.

5. Frozen - 3D Atmos

The 3D animated production of Disney is the most awaited name in theaters in December. The film is based on the fairy tale “The Snow Queen” by Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen, which has been the favorite story of millions of kids of all generations.

The Snow Queen character in the film is Elsa, the Ice Queen who bears a terrifying curse. She always has to struggle between strength and emotions.

To protect her family, Elsa chooses to leave them. Anna, the princess with a brave heart is always looking for ways to meet her sister (Elsa) and rescue their kingdom from the cold winter. Accompanying with Anna is Olaf – a snowman who is created by the magic of Elsa; Sven – the lovely reindeer and Kristoff guy who always loves freedom. On the journey to search and rescue Elsa and the kingdom from the cold winter, Anna and Kristoff have to confront with the harsh climate and ferocious wolves.

6. The Second Sight

The new Thai movie is the only horror movie this month. The main character in the movie is Jate (Nawat Kulratanarak), who possesses the special ability to see souls and the karma of those around him. He knows the delinquent debts from a previous life that pursue the lives of people. That possibility once made friends to be stay away from him, so Jate decides to keep this secret.

Joom (Ratha Pho-Ngram) is Jate’s girlfriend, who is also the only one knowing about his power. Joom does not want Jate to intervene in the fatal car crash of Kaew (Virapond Jirawetsuntorakul) but Jate knows that it was not an accident and wants to use his skills to help Kaew. But the more he involves in the case, the more Jate realizes that something is pursuing him day and night while Joom is also chased and threatened by a terrifying demon.

7. 47 Ronin - 3D

Globally launched on the occasion of Christmas, “47 Ronin” marks the return of Keanu Reeves. The movie is the adventures of 47 samurais.

After their master was killed by mistake, all plan to revenge for their master and regain honor for the samurai world. They take the road to seek help from Kai (Keanu Reeves), who was refused to join the group Ronin.

These brave samurais have to face a shadowy force including terrorists and those who have great magic powers. “47 Ronin” is based on a tale in the context of Japan in the 18th century, which was adapted into movies many times before.

With a budget estimated at $175 million, “47 Ronin” is considered to be the last blockbuster of the year. Besides Keanu Reeves, the movie stars many Japanese actors such as Rinko Kikuchi, Tadanobu Asano, Hiroyuki Sanada...

8. Police Story 2013

“Police Story 6” begins from one night at a bistro in downtown Hong Kong. All customers in the bar are taken hostage, including a policeman played by Jackie Chan and a young girl named Miao. 9. Ninja Revenge

From the adventure to protect the chest with Ninja weapons in the previous episode, the life of Casey Bowman (Scott Adkins) has never been so good like this. He is the owner of a successful dojo, married with beautiful Namiko (Mika Hijii) and is expecting their first child. Returning home one day, Casey discovers that someone brutally attacked Namiko, killing her and her unborn baby. In desperation, Casey has a single reason to live: it is to revenge.

10. Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Secret Gadget Museum

The last movie of 2013 is a film about a character that is loved by millions of kids - Doraemon.

In Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Secret Gadget Museum, the popular Japanese robotic cat Doraemon embarks on a new adventure when his bell is stolen by Deluxe the Phantom Thief, causing Doraemon malfunction.

To search for Doraemon’s bell, Nobita uses a futuristic Sherlock Holmes toy set for his detective work. Nobita then travels with his friends in a time machine to visit the Secret Gadget Museum, which exhibits futuristic gadgets with incredible powers. Unfortunately, Deluxe the Phantom Thief soon tracks them down and also discovers the power of the secret gadgets.
