1. Edge of Tomorrow

As the only film of Tom Cruise this year, Edge of Tomorrow is also in the list of anticipated blockbusters of the summer movie season 2014. The film sets in the future as an alien race attacks the Earth. Lt. Col. Bill Cage, who has never experienced battles, is pushed into a “suicide” mission.

Cage realizes that he is caught in a form of time rebirth that he cannot explain. It makes him experience the same fierce battle again and again and he continuously dies and relives... But from there, he understands the weaknesses of the aliens and fights against them side by side with female warrior Rita Vrataski. Edge of Tomorrow has a budget of up to $178 million.

2. The Target

This is an action movie from South Korea. It is remade form “Point Blank”, a French movie which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in May. The Target is the story about Tae Joon, a normal doctor with a peaceful life besides his gentle and beautiful wife. Their peaceful life ends abruptly when Tae Joon’s family is attacked by a stranger and his wife is kidnapped for unknown reasons.

The only message left by the kidnapper is asking Tae Joon to rescue Yeo Hoon, a mercenary from the hospital. There is no other way, Tae Joon has to join Yeo Hoon to rescue his wife. They have a few days to rescue the hostage while being threatened by both the kidnapper and the police.

3. The Babadook

In June, those who love horror movies will enjoy many excellent works in this genre. The Babadook is an Australian film that attended the independent Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

Inspired from the typical horror films of the 1930s, director Jennifer Kent used limited budgets to create a haunting story with the main character as single mother Amelia.

Several years after the sudden death of her husband, Amelia has trouble raising her 6-year-old son, Sam, when he repeatedly tells about a mysterious creature which clings to both mother and child. Then one day the book entitled "Mr. Babadook" appears in their house, telling about a horrific creature named Babadook. 4. How to Train Your Dragon 2 - 3D

This is the most awaited 3D animation work this summer. It's been five years since Hiccup and Toothless successfully united dragons and vikings on the island of Berk. 5. The Other Woman

As the most successful comedy so far this year, The Other Woman stars Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and model Kate Upton. It is about a strange friendship between the women who are rivals in love. In the movie, all three characters Kate, Carly and Amber love the same man.

6. The Angriest Man in Brooklyn

The audience who love "tiny" actor Peter Dinklage in Game of Thrones TV series or blockbuster X-Men: Days of Future Past will see him again this month in the comedy drama The Angriest Man in Brooklyn. It tells about lawyer Henry Altmann - a man who is unhappy in life and is always grumpy. After the accident made by himself, he hears the result of his disease from female doctor Sharon Gill.

So confused of Henry’s behavior plus being exhausted after a bad day, doctor Sharon makes Henry mistake that he has only 90 minutes to live. He frantically rushes to fix the troubles that he did before. For Sharon, she feels guilty when she realizes her fatal mistake so she tries to find Henry to fix the consequences. 7. 22 Jump Street

10. Transformers: Age of Extinction - 3D

Part 4 of the Transformers movie series is one of the biggest blockbusters this summer. In Transformers: Age of Extinction, Mark Wahlberg replaced Shia LaBeouf as the leading character.

In part four, the war between the Autobots and Decepticons continues. Two familiar robots of Autobot - leader Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee reappear.
