VietNamNet Bridge – Thirteen Vietnamese workers will compete with over 1,000 contestants from over 50 countries at the world technical skill contest in London from October 5 to 8.


The Vietnamese delegation will compete in 12 categories, including web design, information technology, graphic design, industrial electronics, fashion technique, construction, etc.

Fashion technique, graphic design and industrial electronic are considered as Vietnam’s fortes, which can bring medals to the team.

Duong Duc Lan, vice chief of the General Department of Vocational Training, said that this year Vietnam sends more contestants to the competition and it also compete in more categories than previous years.

Of the 12 categories, Vietnam won gold and silver medals for 11 categories at the 8th Southeast Asia Technical Skill Competition and outstanding certificates for some categories at the 40th World Technical Skill Contest in Canada in 2009.

This will be the third time Vietnam participates in the World Technical Skill Contest. In the two previous times, Vietnam won six outstanding certificates.
