VietNamNet Bridge – As many as 132 universities and colleges nationwide will not organise entrance exams in 2013, down by nine schools in comparison with 2012, according to the Communist Party of Vietnam online newspaper.

Among those are 43 non-public educational establishments, said a Ministry of Education and Training report.

To ensure the interests of candidates who expect to study in these universities and colleges, the ministry regulates that candidates must attend university entrance exams of the same group.

The exams are for subject Groups A, B, C and D. Group A includes mathematics, physics and chemistry; Group B consists of mathematics, biology, and chemistry; Group C comprises literature, history and geography; and Group D includes mathematics, literature and foreign languages.
