HCM City tops the nation with 3,500 vehicles, followed by Hanoi with 2,100.

Of the total, 6,000 are coaches and the rest are trucks.

The list of expired vehicles has been posted on the Vietnam Register’s website.

The report on vehicles with expired registrations is conducted annually by the Vehicle Registration Department. The agency will send the list of vehicles to concerned agencies and localities to settle.

Coaches over 20 years old, and trucks 25 years old, should not be used.

If an expired vehicle is found to be still used, the driver of the vehicle will be fined VND4-6 million (USD174-262), the driver’s driving licence will be revoked for up to three months, and the vehicle will be confiscated.
