1. Mui Co Chay (Scent of Burned Grass)




Release date: May 4

The movie by director Nguyen Huu Muoi that won the Silver Lotus and the Golden Kite Awards will be screened at nation-wide cinemas in May.

The film is the story about four students, named Hoang, Thanh, Thang and Long in 1971. The four students decided to join the army. Their youth was buried by bombs and bullets in the Quang Tri battlefield, central Vietnam.

The four leading actors in the movie are brand new faces. The film was finished last year but until now it will be introduced at local cinemas, after going to many international film festivals.

2. The Three Stooges

The super production of 15 years ago has returned with the 3D version. This is the most expected movie of Vietnamese audience this month.

The 3D version was released in mid-April and helped raise the total revenue of this film to $2 billion.

In Vietnam, this will be the first time Titanic to be screened at cinemas.

9. Bay Cap Ba





Release date: May 18

This is a Vietnamese horror movie about a group of high-school students who experience a nightmare during their tour to Da Lat city. Each of them is gradually killed by a mysterious killer. They are trapped by unexpected and dangerous methods.
