VietNamNet Bridge – Helicopter tours are now being offered at the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in the central province of Quang Binh. The fare for each one hour of flying is VND3 million ($150).

The helicopter tour has just been provided by the Northern Helicopter Service Company in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Quang Binh province.

Before launching this service, this firm made many surveys to find the best places for helicopters.

An official of the People’s Committee of Quang Binh province says the service has been  launched to serve tourists to discover the World Natural Heritage of Phong Nha-Ke Bang from above and to provide emergency medical support for the adventurous tourism routes and tours to discover Son Doong and Hang En caves.

The helicopter tours also serve the needs of surveying the rugged mountainous region which people ccannot approach by road, and to discover new features in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, to support research, management and protection of the national parks.

The fare for a one-hour flight for 22 passengers is $3,400, equivalent to $150/person.
