Local authorities are trying to bury the body of a 150kg dolphin that drifted to the coast of Phu Quoc, confirmed Kien Giang southern province’s Phu Quoc District authorities.

As reported by Thanh Nien (Young People) newspaper, the dead dolphin, measuring 1.5m in length, was discovered on June 9 at residential quarter No. 9 on the coast of Duong Dong Town in Phu Quoc District.
Many people posted the footage of the dolphin on Facebook.
On June 10, Le Van Riem, head of the residential quarter, said after receiving the news, local authorities sent staff to the site to bury the mammal.
Nguyen Linh Ngoc, an expert of the Management Board of Phu Quoc Marine Protected Area, said it was a Tursiops truncatus dolphin.— VNS
