night, December 15, at the Sao Mai Theatre in Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen
province, attracting many senior actors.

Present at the opening ceremony were nearly 1,000 delegates, including famous artists, managers and film directors from all parts of the country.
Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh highlighted the impressive development of Vietnam’s cinematography during the past decades, saying this year’s entries are larger in number and better in quality than in previous events.
Five categories of movies, documentaries, scientific films and animations will be screened during the four-day event.
Audiences will have the chance to enjoy outdoor movies, attend a seminar on Vietnamese cinematographic history, and exchange with famous actors, actresses and film producers.
Many young movie stars were absent from the ceremony. The ceremony began at 8pm.

The most touching part of the opening ceremony is the commemoration of four generations of Vietnamese
actors, such as Tra Giang, The Anh, To Uyen, Nhu Quynh, Lan Huong, Dieu Thuan, Le Khanh,
Thanh Quy, Chieu Xuan, Phuong Thanh…
Singer Phuong Thanh performed the themed song in “The Last Sin,” which is attached
to late actress Phuong Thanh.
Many artists could not hold on tears when they listened to Cam Van singing “Unforgettable Song”
as a gift for late artists who deserved well of the Vietnam movie industry.
