VietNamNet Bridge – Two container trucks going in the same direction crashed into each other and exploded on Nguyen Binh Khiem Street in coastal Hai Phong City at around 3am on Wednesday morning.

Two persons sitting in the cabin of one of the trucks died on the spot, while the driver of the other truck suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital.

Hai Phong Police could not recover the bodies as the blaze from the explosion totally destroyed the truck with the registration number 15C 18495.

The accident took place in front of SOS School and Hermann Hai Phong High School. It also damaged 300 solid road barriers and caused traffic congestion on the route for hours as hundreds of trucks were heading to Hai Phong Port.

Local authorities started removing the damaged trucks from the road late Wednesday morning.
