Samson has been the top scorer in the V-League for several seasons.

Hanoi T&T conducted naturalizing procedures for Samson Kayode for more than a year and recently it achieved results. The presence of Samson in the team as a domestic player will make Hanoi T & T stronger in the next season because they can hire another foreign player.

Unlike many other foreign players who often take their Vietnamese names after the surname of the presidents of their FCs, Samson took a rather strange name - Ha Noi Son. He said he chose the name because of his love for the land where he has been playing for.

Samson knew the good news during his vacation in his hometown of Nigeria. Early November, he will return to Hanoi to receive the official decision to become a Vietnamese citizen.

Samson is the fourth Nigerian player to be naturalized in Vietnam after Dang Amaobi, Hoang Vissai and Dinh Hoang Max. Among them, Dinh Hoang Max once joined the national team in the game against Olympiakos (Greece) in 2009.

In principle, Samson is fully eligible for playing in the Vietnam national team in the upcoming international tournaments.

Samson is one of the best foreign players of V-League. He was recruited by Atletico Madrid in 2011 but he could not join this FC since he had signed a contract with Hanoi T & T. Samson scored 29 goals in 43 matches for Hanoi T&T.
