VietNamNet Bridge - Today, the 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week commenced in the central city of Da Nang with the opening session of the two-day Concluding Senior Officials Meeting (CSOM), chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister, Chair of SOM APEC 2017 Bui Thanh Son.

The 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week includes important events, including: the dialogue between APEC Economic Leaders and the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC); unofficial high-ranking dialogue between APEC and ASEAN; the 25th meeting of APEC Economic Leaders; and the APEC APEC Business Summit among others.

Vietnam will also host the Vietnam Business Summit; chair the 29th meeting of the APEC Foreign -Economic Ministers; APEC Senior Officials Meeting 2017; and the summit meeting of senior APEC officials.

The 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week is the last and most important event of the APEC Year 2017, which takes place in Da Nang from November 6-11 with the participation of more than 10,000 delegates from 21 member economies.

The leaders of all 21 APEC economies have confirmed their attendance at the 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week.

On November 11, President Tran Dai Quang will host the 25th APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting. The meeting will discuss and assess the performance of APEC in the past time and set the direction for APEC in the following years.
