“Em Hoa” by designer Cong Tri and "Life in Color" by designer Do Manh Cuong were two of the many impressive collections to inspire fashion lovers in 2017.
The “Em Hoa” collection showed a breakthrough in innovative design for Cong Tri after 17 years as a designer. “Thu Sau Cua Chi” (Her Friday), another Cong Tri collection, featured 68 designs inspired by classic styles of the 1970s and 1980s. The haute couture collection from designer Hoang Hai seen in the “De Hanoi à Paris” fashion show consisted of luxuriously fine evening gowns. Miss France 2014 Flora Coquere, runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2014 pageant Huyen My, and Miss Vietnam 2016 Do My Linh performed in the event. The “Safari” collection by designer Le Thanh Hoa featured 30 designs, drawing inspiration from the desert and the patterns of wild animal such as snakes and leopards. In a special fashion show, designer Do Manh Cuong showcased a repertoire of 100 designs he has made in the past 10 years. Actress Tang Thanh Ha and Miss Vietnam 2014 Ky Duyen were the outstanding faces of the show. The 10th anniversary show cost VND10 billion to deliver. The stage was brought to life in bright scarlet with 30 flowering peach trees and 100,000 branches. The collection “Life in Color” by designer Do Manh Cuong was displayed on the catwalk of a 100-metre strip of road on Phu Quoc Island. Designer Vo Cong Khanh celebrated 10 years working as a designer by introducing his collection "Cocoon" which is inspired by the life cycle of a butterfly. Chung Thanh Phong presented his “She’s A Goddess” collection in his third fashion show, marking 7 years of working as a designer. The collection is inspired by the works of Italian architect Edoardo Tresoldi. Designer Adrian Anh Tuan’s “Her Legend” fashion show was held in a luxury resort in Danang City. The show featured minimalist and classical styles, marking his 10 years of working as a designer. |
