Its responsibilities include conducting oversight tasks assigned by the Politburo and Secretariat, investigating violations by Party organizations and members, and enforcing discipline in cases monitored by the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negativity.

The commission also monitors the transparency and asset declarations of high-ranking officials under the direct management of the Politburo and Secretariat. It is authorized to propose or request disciplinary measures by competent bodies, including changes in sanctions applied to Party members and public officials.

Annually, or upon request, the commission reports to the Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat on its activities and the broader inspection and discipline work across all Party levels.
