The squad features a number of outstanding players, including Nham Manh Dung of Viettel FC and Dung Quang Nho of Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) FC.
Most notably, the upcoming gathering will see football stars from the national U19 team make the step up in level, including pair Vo Nguyen Hoang and Huynh Cong Den.
Furthermore, young talents such as Nguyen Duy Kien of HAGL FC, along with Phan Van Hieu and Mai Xuan Quyet, both of Nam Dinh FC, have also been called up to the team.
In contrast, Van Hau who is currently recovering from an injury will not feature in any of the fixtures, whilst Viet Anh and Van Toan will both be playing for the senior national team.
The Vietnamese U22 side will start training in Hanoi on December 18, four days later they are due to travel to Quang Ninh in order to play a friendly against the national team which will be held at Cam Pha stadium in the northeastern province at 6 p.m. on December 23.
The second tie will take place at Viet Tri stadium in Phu Tho province at 5 p.m. on December 27. VOV

The Vietnam national U22 men’s football team displayed great determination during a training session held in Hanoi as the team start their preparations for the 31st SEA Games which the nation will host next year.
