VietNamNet Bridge – Hoa Muon Sac (Multicolored Flowers), featuring 250 dancers, will take place at HCMC Opera House at 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

The concert will feature nice professional art troupes such as Bong Sen Theater, HCMC Dance School, HCMC Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera and other troupes from Phu Yen, An Giang and Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces. Audiences will have a chance to enjoy many genres of dance in diverse themes and styles from folk to contemporary. Each work presents a point of view of life, exposing hopes and beauty in the working life and spiritual world of human beings.
“The is the biggest ever event, providing the professional working spirit of Vietnam Association of Dance Artists. The event is also a festive day for artists to have a chance to meet and share their passion and experience,” said People’s Artist Ung Duy Thinh, director of the concert.
Visitors will get a glimpse of daily life in the Mekong Delta through the work ‘Mua Ca’ (Fishing Season), depicting rustic images of local farmers in the flooding season. Choreographer Huu Tu also discovers humanitarian culture and unity of the land and the people in the delta. Meanwhile, choreographer Kieu Le presents the bravery, devotion and sacrifices of mothers in the war time in Cu Chi Tunnel via the work Me Cu Chi (Cu Chi Mother).
The highlight of the show is ‘Sen va trong Viet’ (Lotus flower and Vietnamese drums) performed by Linh Nga and dancers of Bong Sen Theater. Traditional features of ethnic groups of Ede, Gia Rai, Khmer or Bana will be presented via the folk dance Ngay hoi dua bo (Ox racing festive day).
Cho ngay mai thuyen dong khoi (For the boat sailing tomorrow), Nhung nguoi dan ong cua bien (Men of sea) or ‘Vong quay thuyen thung’ (Turn of bamboo boats) also depict the lives of fishermen in coastal areas.
Images of soldiers appear in Hoa da (Stone flower), To ba Nguoi (Group of three) and Sao da (Rock star). The concert will conclude with folk dances in bright and happy melodies of the work Vu dieu xuan (Dance of Spring), allowing audiences to indulge in a vivid and jubilant atmosphere of spring of Vietnamese people.
The show is set to last 100 minutes at the Opera House, 7 Lam Son Square in District 1.
