According to the earthquake bulletin issued by the Institute of Earth Sciences, under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, the earthquake occurred at 7:44 p.m. on July 30.

The epicenter was located at 22.926°N, 105.664°E in Bao Lac Commune, Cao Bang Province, at a focal depth of approximately 10 kilometers. The earthquake measured magnitude 3.6 on the Richter scale.

The Earthquake Information and Tsunami Warning Center, part of the Institute of Earth Sciences, said it is continuing to monitor the event.

The institute also classified the earthquake as Level 0 on Vietnam's natural disaster risk scale at the epicenter, indicating no disaster risk.

Posts on social media indicated that many residents in Bao Lac Commune and surrounding areas felt the shaking when the earthquake occurred. Some users said they experienced mild dizziness lasting one to two seconds.
