Search efforts continue at Nul Village (Bao Yen, Lao Cai).

According to a representative from the Department of Dike Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the storm has caused widespread devastation, particularly through flooding and landslides.

The storm has claimed 197 lives, with 128 others injured. Lao Cai province has borne the brunt of the destruction, reporting 177 casualties, including 82 deaths and 95 missing people.

The most significant loss occurred in Lang Nu village (Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district), where 99 people were reported dead or missing due to a severe landslide.

In Cao Bang province, the storm has killed 34 people, with 18 more missing. Meanwhile, in Yen Bai, 44 people are confirmed dead or missing.

Other regions, including Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, and Hanoi, have also suffered losses, with Quang Ninh reporting 15 deaths.

As rescue operations continue, international assistance has started to arrive. Australia has sent aid shipments to Hanoi, which were then dispatched to Yen Bai.

The United States has announced a $1 million humanitarian aid package to support recovery efforts in the affected areas.
