The bomb was discovered at the construction site of the office building of the Power Transmission Company 1 at No. 15 Cua Bac Street on November 28.

Previously, this place was the Yen Phu power plant, which was bombed by the US during the war. It is very likely that this bomb has been left from that time.

The site has been immediately blocked for safety.

The police also used mobile fences to block the intersection of Cua Bac - Nguyen Truong To, Pham Hong Thai - Cua Bac, Pho Duc Chinh - Cua Bac, to prohibit vehicles. However pedestrians can still go back and forth. 

A representative from the Military High Command said that the bomb was expected to be moved on December 1 or 2.

As the bomb was too big, it was likely that the disposal would involve the Ministry of National Defence, the representative said. The ministry has not announced any evacuation plans for people living in the neighbourhood.
