VietNamNet Bridge - Mobile network operators, one after another, have increased the capacity of data packages by five to six times, while keeping the service fee unchanged.
Mobile network operators, which, ignoring users’ complaints in deciding on raising 3G service fees two months ago, have cut down the fee again in an effort to retain 3G subscribers.
VietNamNet Bridge – A lot of 3G service subscribers have decided to stop using service after mobile network operators increased the service fee by 40 percent. However, they complain that it is very difficult to cancel the service.
VietNamNet Bridge – The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has asked telecoms companies to co-operate with businesses providing over-the-top (OTT) services to allow free phone calls and messages for users.
VietNamNet Bridge – The Vietnam Automobile Transportation Association complained that the 3G service fee increases have neutralized the journey monitoring devices attached to vehicles. Viettel has denied this.
