3rd short film festival for students attracts 140 submissions

VietNamNet Bridge – The Golden Bee Awards, the Students’ Short Film Festival, organised from December 13 to 15, attracts short films from over 100 young film makers throughout Vietnam.

VietNamNet Bridge – The Golden Bee Awards, the Students’ Short Film Festival, organised from December 13 to 15, attracts short films from over 100 young film makers throughout Vietnam.

This event is held every two years for students of the Hanoi University for Drama and Movies and young film makers in Vietnam. The festival welcomes films up to 30 minutes long were produced after 2008.

The organizing board selected 29 outstanding films to compete for the Golden, Silver, the Best Director, the Best Cameraman and the Audience’s Choice awards. They were screened at the National Cinema Center on December 14-15.

The selected films were made by Vietnamese students at home and abroad and they had never been introduced to the public.

The winners will be announced at the award ceremony at the Kim Dong Cinema in Hanoi on December 16.

After the festival, the organizing board will hold a talk between young film makers and reputed Vietnamese directors and producers on December 16.

The movies will be screened for free at the Hanoi Cinema Center until December 16.
