These locally-transmitted cases include 38 cases in Hai Duong province – the country’s largest hotspot, 1 case in Hanoi and 1 case in Quang Ninh.

Patient 2272 in Quang Ninh is F1 of patient 2092, who has been under quarantine. The patient is treated at Hospital No. 2 in Quang Ninh.

Patient 2273 in Hanoi is F1 of patient 1819. This patient is treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh district, Hanoi.

Of the 38 new cases in Hai Duong, patients from 2274-2311, 34 cases are F1, who have been under quarantine and 4 cases are members in the same family.

Epidemiological investigation of these four cases is underway. These patients are currently treated at the Field Hospital 2 based at Hai Duong Medical Technical University.

The national count is now 2,311 cases, with 1,412 locally-transmitted cases including 719 cases detected since January 27.

Six patients were given the all-clear during the day, raising the total number of recoveries to 1,573.

The death toll remained at 35.

Among patients still under treatment, 37 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, 29 twice and 20 thrice.

A total 128,080 people are being quarantined nationwide.
