According to the guidance of the Ministry of Health, on August 21, HCM City set up the first mobile medical stations in wards and communes throughout the city. Station No. 1 is located in Ward 11, District 3. The station employs one doctor, two nurses and four volunteers who are in charge of treating 150 covid-19 patients who are under home quarantine.

By August 26, the city had 401 mobile medical stations. The remaining 12 stations in Nha Be and Cu Chi districts were established as soon as possible to treat local patients.

According to the Center for Disease Control of Ho Chi Minh City (HCDC), as of 6 a.m. on August 26, the number of positive cases under home treatment was 52,146 people, including 27,649 who were isolated at home from the beginning and 24,497 people who returned home after being discharged from hospital. The number of positive cases treated in concentrated isolation facilities in districts was 15,357 people.

The 413 mobile medical stations in HCM City will cooperate with local rapid response teams to take care of patients at home. Each ward has 2-3 mobile medical stations depending on the number of positive Covid cases in the area, which are expected to help reduce the workload at higher-level hospitals.
