Patient 2006 is a 7-year-old boy in Dong Trieu town, Quang Ninh province, who is the son of patient 1727. The boy has been quarantined since January 29. The child is under quarantine and treatment at Vietnam - Sweden Hospital in Uong Bi district, Quang Ninh.
Patient 2007 is a woman, 43, a worker of Poyun Co., Ltd. based in Chi Linh City, Hai Duong province – the country’s largest Covid-19 hotspot. She has been isolated since January 30. The patient is now treated at Vietnam-Sweden Hospital in Uong Bi.
Patient 2008 is a 5-year-old boy in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province. The boy is patient 1553’s son and has been isolated since January 27. The child is treated at Hospital No. 2 in Quang Ninh province.
Patient 2009 is a 28-year-old woman in Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi. She had close contact with patient 1722. She is quarantined and treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh district, Hanoi.
Patient 2010 is a 50-year-old woman, from Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi. She was infected from patient 2009. Patient 2011 is a 10-month-old baby girl, who is daughter of patient 2009. Both of them are under quarantined and treatment at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh district, Hanoi
Patient 2012 is a 33-year-old man, from La Pa district, Gia Lai province. This person had close contact with patients 1952 and 1982. He is currently treated at Ayunpa Medical Center, Gia Lai province.
Patient 2013 is a 32-year-old woman, from Kong Chro district, Gia Lai province. She had close contact patient 1845. The woman is also treated at Ayunpa Medical Center, Gia Lai province.
Patients from No. 2014 to 2038 in Ho Chi Minh City had contact with previously reported cases at Tan Son Nhat airport.
Patients No. 2039 - 2050 are those in the lockdown zone in Cam Giang and Kim Thanh districts in Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province – Vietnam’s largest hotspot.
By February 8 afternoon, Vietnam had a total of 2,050 cases of Covid-19, including 1,160 domestically-transmitted cases.
Among patients undergoing treatment at medical establishments, 106 tested negative for the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 once, seven twice and five thrice. The number of deaths related to the disease remained at 35.
As many as 89,782 people who had close contact with COVID-19 patients or entered Vietnam from pandemic-hit regions are being quarantined, including 529 in hospitals, 19,879 in state-designated quarantine establishments and the remaining 69,374 at their residences.
The Ministry of Health recommended people to continue serious following its message featuring 5K (in Vietnamese) Khau trang (facemask)- (Khu khuan) disinfection- (Khoang cach) distance- (Khong tu tap) no gathering – (Khai bao y te) health declaration, and install the Bluezone tracing app in order to live safely with the COVID-19 pandemic.
