The committee reported that the disciplinary actions for these State cadres included dismissal, demotion, warnings and wage cuts.

The offenses of the disciplined officials mainly involved lack of personal responsibility and loose State management leading to construction-related violations.

Two serious violations relating to construction policies took place at Le Truc Garment Joint-stock Company and at a private construction company in Dien Bien Province. The violators were strictly disciplined according to the decision of the Ha Noi City Party Committee’s inspection board.

Earlier, the inspection board reprimanded two senior officials of the Hoang Mai District People’s Committee: Nguyen Duc Hai, head of the Commission for People Mobilization, and Nguyen Anh Cuong, chairman of the Fatherland Front.

Nguyen Duc Hai was former vice chairman of the Hoang Mai District People’s Committee and was directly in charge of construction management in the district area. His wrongdoing involved lack of personal responsibility in carrying out assigned tasks leading to violations in eight construction projects.

Nguyen Anh Cuong, former chief of the district’s construction inspectors and head of construction order team, failed to provide proper management and examinations, causing violations in a series of building projects in the district area. He was responsible for the loss of 27 records of construction-order violations in Hoang Liet Ward.

In March 2016, the city’s Department of Construction disciplined many cadres relating to offenses at 8B Le Truc building in Dien Bien Ward, Ba Dinh District.

Accordingly, Nguyen Cuong Quyet, head of Ba Dinh District’s Construction Inspectorate and Pham Hung Phuong, deputy head of the team, were demoted and transferred to other jobs.

Also in this case, Hoang Ngoc Vinh, deputy chief of inspectorate and Le Van Duc, official of the licensing management department, both at the Department of Construction, received reprimands.

The Construction Department issued the decision to apply disciplinary action against four others, including dismissing Nguyen Tien Dung, former head of the Dien Bien Ward’s construction inspectorate; and requiring work transfers for Pham Quoc Hung, An Quoc Viet and Nguyen Ngoc Anh, all officials at Ba Dinh District’s construction inspectorate.
