The 69 products and services were selected from 85 applications by a panel of experts from the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, research institutes, technologists and technology reporters.

According to Dr Mai Liem Truc, head of the panel, among the 69 Sao Khue Award recipients, only one received a five-star rating, meeting strict criteria in fields including revenues, creativity and practicability.

This year’s products and services mainly concentrate on the use of software solutions to address pressing issues such as healthcare, education, public administration and agriculture, in addition to the traditional areas of accounting, human resources management and retail.

New technologies such as big data and digital certificates have begun to see more widespread use compared with several years ago.

The Sao Khue Award ceremony will be held on April 24.
