The trucks carrying smuggled coal seized on March 3.

According to local authorities, at around 1am on March 3, a working group led by Halong City Chairman detected 13 trucks gathering in Ha Khanh Ward. Of these, six trucks carried a total volume of 142.81 m3 of coal, and three others had dumped coal on the ground. At the time of inspection, drivers did not have the necessary documents related to the origin of the coal.

The working group continued the inspections, and found 400m from the ground where the trucks had been checked two piles of coal with a total volume of 482.37 m3. They also found three excavators and a 4-seat car. The total amount of coal found was 625,18m3 (over 700 tons).
