In addition, the head of the Cerberus Investment and Finance Fund with total assets of over $3 trillion will have a one-day talk to hundreds of businessmen in Hanoi with the topic “Is Vietnam a realizable destination of the world’s economic monarchies?”
This senior politician and businessman is expected to share his view on Vietnam’s future and his secrets for success with Vietnamese officials and entrepreneurs. He is also expected to answer the question how to attract the top brands in the world, particularly giant investment funds, which are compared as “world economic monarchies” to Vietnam?
Snow, 72, was the CEO of CSX Corporation, and served as the 73rd US Secretary of the Treasury under President George W. Bush. He replaced Secretary Paul O'Neill on February 3, 2003 and was succeeded by Henry Paulson on July 3, 2006.
He joined the cabinet of many US Presidents, including Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, George H. W Bush and George W Bush as a Secretary or Deputy Secretary.
He worked for 20 years as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the CSX group.
From 1994 through 1996, he was Chairman of the Business Roundtable, a business policy group of 250 chief executive officers of the nation's largest companies, and played a major role in supporting passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
Since 2006, Snow has been the chairman of Cerberus Capital Management group. Members of the management board of this group are leading US politicians and businessmen like the 44th US Vice President Dan Quayle, Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, billionaires Donald Trump and J. Ezra Merkin, Dr. Steven F. Mayer, etc.
In recent years, Cerberus Capital Management bought some famous companies in the world, like Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc, Bayer AG, Remington Arms, Mervyns and Albertsons and part of the Air Canada.
