According to the report, there are 90 golf courses in the nation, located in 34/63 provinces and cities. The Ministry has eliminated 76 other golf course projects, revoking more than 15,600 hectares of land.
To date, of 90 approved golf courses, 29 have been put into operation; 22 are under construction; 29 have been licensed for investment and 10 projects may have their licence revoked for failing to meet criteria.
The Ministry promised to revoke investment certificates of the golf course projects that are implemented slowly and ineffectively and strictly punish the investors who break the rules on environment.
