Eight people were killed and six other injured after a truck exploded at a gas station Tuesday afternoon in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, local authorities said.

The fire from the blast engulfed cars inside the station and its nearby parking lot in the Litang Township of Binyang County, said a spokesman with the county government's information office.
