VietNamNet Bridge - Over 8,000 Vietnamese and foreign runners took part in the 14th Terry Fox Run at the Phu My Hung New Residential Area in Ho Chi Minh City on November 28.
All money raised will be donated to the HCM City Cancer Centre.
Terry Fox was a Canadian youth who was diagnosed with bone cancer when he was 18 years old. With one artificial leg, he ran for 143 days to raise funds for bone cancer research. He died in 1981 after four years of struggling against the disease.
Since then, marathons named after him have been held in many countries in the world to raise fund for cancer patients.
