June 20 is also the fourth day in a row that Ho Chi Minh City has recorded more than 100 coronavirus infections per day.

Most of the new cases in Bac Giang and Bac Ninh are associated with outbreaks in the provinces' industrial parks and other quarantine and locked down areas.

The majority of the new cases in Ho Chi Minh are associated with the Revival Ekklesia Mission and are being contact traced, while those in other localities came into contact with infected patients and are under epidemiological investigation.

The nation has so far logged a total of 9,943 cases of local transmission in the latest coronavirus wave that hit the nation nearly two months ago.
