VietNamNet Bridge – A bun of hairs which is big as a fist was taken out from the stomach of a 10-year-old girl from the southern province of Soc Trang.

Mr. Hoa from the southern province of Soc Trang took his little daughter to the Children’s Hospital 1 in HCM City for examination because the girl had problem with eating and usually complained of stomachache.

Doctor Dao Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of the Children’s Hospital 1, said that through scan, doctors saw a big piece of something in the girl’s stomach.

The strange thing was taken out after an operation. It turned out to be a bun of hairs.

The little girl has recovered, Dr. Hieu said.

The girl’s father said his daughter usually tore her hairs to chew when she was leisured or watching television. Her parents knew this habit but they did not stop her because they thought that this habit was not harmful.

Dr. Hieu said this is the second case at his hospital. The first patient was also a little girl.
