Doctor Than Manh Hung, deputy head of the emergency department of the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases, says that all 10 COVID-19 patients remain in stable health condition.
So far only two cases have been showing fever-like symptoms.
Several of the patients are elderly and have health problems such as diabetes or a high blood pressure.
All six foreign patients who are transferred from the provinces of Lao Cai and Quang Ninh are receiving treatment at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases.
Patients who came into direct contact with confirmed cases are classified as F1, whilst those who came into close contact are classified as F2, with all patients moving into isolation after recording negative test results. Following this, doctors will continue to monitor each case, with additional tests being carried out after three days, seven days, and 10 days.
