The 5th edition of the Vietnam Midnight Half Marathon lights up the Hanoi night with a vibrant, large-scale run.

The event will officially begin at 12:05 a.m. on November 30, starting at Quang Trung Street near Thien Quang Lake. This fifth edition of the VMHM (Vietnam Midnight Half Marathon) promises a vibrant and unforgettable night where the spirit of perseverance merges with the capital city’s unique blend of ancient charm and modern vibrancy.

Once again, the racecourse will lead participants through some of Hanoi’s most iconic landmarks and historical routes. Runners will pass by the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Thanh Nien Road, Phan Dinh Phung Street, Hoan Kiem Lake, and the old quarters, offering an immersive night tour of the city's heritage.

This year, the journey expands further, crossing both Vinh Tuy Bridge and Long Bien Bridge. These two symbolic structures represent the convergence of Hanoi’s deep-rooted traditions and its ever-evolving urban rhythm, enriching the runners’ experience with more visual and emotional highlights.

Beyond its competitive edge and cultural exploration, the marathon also conveys a strong social message. This year’s theme, “Green race, smoke-free air,” advocates for a healthy lifestyle and aims to raise awareness about tobacco-free living in Vietnam.
